Underneath this grass and earth your bones lie here at peace

as earthly struggles and toils now forever cease.

Until that day, oh glorious be,

you’ll rise and sing in Heaven, free.

Then together with Him you will spend

eternal days, no splendor’s end.

Though I wish you could now see,

what God has grown from you–what would be.

We all are here and trying well,

though there are struggles only we can tell.

But you and grandfather did to us entrust,

the key to overcome and live lives that are just.

That key unlocks our heart for Him,

that we might all invite Him in.

For it’s only through salvation grace

that we will see each other face to face.

And on that day well sing to Him,

“Glory to the King! Amen!”
